Google sitemaps recognized by Yahoo! and Microsoft November 21, 2006

It’s amazingly true that the three giants collaborated on the sitemaps.org project recognizing google sitemaps file standard.

Google sitemaps was opened to webmasters around june 2005, allowing sites owners to feed pages for inclusion in Google’s Web Index with the hope that Google Sitemaps will help in gathering pages faster than the traditional crawling alone. These feeds also let site owners indicate how often pages change or should be revisited.

Web 2.0 Apps: Renkoo the Social Planner

I just came across this application somewhere while googling the web. Don’t know much about it, but have read and got a little idea that it’s something like a social planning application which allows people to discuss and build up a plan? not sure yet..

Web 2.0 apps: Oyogi the question and answer Specialist

I learned from eHub that Oyogi is just somewhat a question and answer type application though taken to the next level, Oyogi app helps individuals from their quest to get answers to questions by interacting with experts, these experts are called yogis (interesting word, now i wonder where that word came from?). Oyogi has also some kind of web based instant messaging for interaction of the oyogis ang the questor. And of course you can search the archives! hmm just thinking of an extended forum?

Web 2.0 Apps: Lulu the Self Publishing Application

Lulu is then again another web 2.0 application which allows it’s user to publish their own products? yeah, and ofcourse Lulu get’s a commission and the seller get’s most of the profit.

So the auctioneers out there might as well try it out! Maybe Lulu is trying to get in they way of ebay? hmm not sure yet…

Kabarkada and Web 2.0 February 26, 2006

So since Web 2.0, happens to be now the hype of the web. From traditional HTML to valid XHTML, from TABLES to DIVS, From font tags to CSS declarations. When we got Perl, then PHP and now Ruby On Rails. We have DHTML and now AJAX. We here at kabarkada we’ll be working out our own applications sooner under this circle. Putting out more architecture and design on top of each development.
